Ugh, why did you have to go and mention that, I have an unforgivable amount of feelings about the two of them as parents, because I actually think Gamzee would be a super great dad. Not exactly as he is in canon, obviously, because in canon he is thirteen years old among other things, but if he got the chance to get his mental health shit addressed and grow up in a world that exists I think he would be so great with kids, just very good at explaining things in a way that would make sense to a small child without talking down to them and letting kids feel included in whatever was going on and he’d like playing with kids when they want to and I think he’d able to just listen to kids and take them seriously as people with minds without forgetting that they’re still little kids. and as a father he would be nervous and scared but also determined to be there all the time and super involved and available, because, well, Goatdad, and he’d be determined to do better. And Tavros would know… as much as any new parent does about what he is doing, really, which is I gather not a lot, but Tavros had a pretty good minibulldad, I thought, and is clearly a pretty nurturing and caring person in general I would say (him and his animals!) and of course they’d panic about WHAT ARE WE DOING THIS IS A SMALL LIFE FORM WHO LET US HAVE THIS all the time and end up eating sugary things in the kitchen at two a.m. and mumbling about help and rubbing each others’ shoulders because they’re all wound up and about to fall over and agreeing that the next time the baby starts to cry they are going to cry too, but they are also going to be a happy family and raise one hell of a kid, or two or three kids, and UGH.
